Welcome to the Home of the Licking County 4-H Band
Important Upcoming Dates:
- March 3rd: First practice
- March 17th: Final day to register
- March 31st: No practice (Spring Break)
Why join?
- Become a better musician.

General Information:
- The band practices each Wednesday starting in early March of each year from 6:00PM - 9:00PM (excluding Spring Break week).
- Practices take place at Legend Elementary, 1075 Evans Boulevard - Newark, Ohio. (Be weary using online maps to find the school, the road is new and is often not correctly found by both Google and Mapquest. The road is off Sharon Valley Road, just east of King Avenue.)
- In early June, the band attends a week of band camp at Camp Ohio before starting their concert season.
- Throughout the summer, the band plays two to three concerts each week at various locations throughout the county.
- In August, the band takes up residency as the official band of the Hartford Fair in Croton, Ohio.
- Any musicians that live in or go to school in Licking County and are between the ages of 11 and 19 as of January 1 of each year are invited to join the band for that year's concert season.
- Registration for the 2010 season takes place at the first three practices; March 3rd, 10th, and 17th. Registration can also be done online at the link on the left. If you are unable to register for this year but would like to join next year, contact Jane Copenhefer for more information.
Don't forget to bring $5, your instrument, a fold-up music stand, and a friend!
